What is Biblical Counseling?

Biblical counseling is based on the belief that the Bible is the ultimate source of truth and offers guidance, wisdom, and insight that helps individuals apply God’s Word in their life and overcome their struggles and challenges. Our world today needs hope! Our society is in trouble, counseling centers are filled to capacity, and many people don’t know where to turn.

OUR VALUES

  • The Gospel, our only hope

  • The Word of God, our absolute authority

  • One another care, our universal calling

  • Always free biblical counseling, our firm commitment

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15

The Gospel

Our passion at the Biblical Counseling Hub is to reach every person in our community with the Gospel. Biblical counseling is one way to accomplish this–reaching people where they are with the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every Christian reaching every non-Christian with the Gospel—that’s the mandate Christ left us with in Mark 16:15 which says to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." This command is not just for pastors, evangelists, or missionaries, but for every Believer who has received the Good News of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

“I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole counsel of God.” Acts 20:27

The Word of God

Our approach to biblical counseling is rooted in the belief that the Word of God is sufficient for all of our spiritual, emotional, and relational needs. We address the root causes of emotional struggles by offering a biblical perspective on human nature and the world in which we live that extends far beyond temporary relief from symptoms. Through an understanding of the truth of God's Word and the depth of His love and grace, biblical counseling can lead to true and lasting healing and transformation.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works…encouraging one another...” Hebrews 10:24-25

 One Another Care

As Believers, we are “competent to counsel one another” (Romans 15:14). Biblical counseling is based on the principle of "one another care," which is caring for one another within the Body of Christ, supporting and helping each other through difficult times. At the Biblical Counseling Hub, we emphasize the importance of relationships in the context of community in the healing process. Whether playing the role of a counselor, discipler, advocate, pastor, or accountability partner, we all work together with the common objective of providing hope and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2

Always Free

At the Biblical Counseling Hub, our biblical counseling is always free. We believe that every person should have access to biblical counseling, regardless of their financial situation. Biblical counseling can have a transformative impact on people's lives by helping them find healing, restoration, and growth in their relationships with God and others. We understand that some people may be hesitant to seek counseling due to financial constraints, and we do not want finances to be a barrier for anyone to receive the help they need.

We would like to invite you to join us in our desire to reach every person in our community with the hope and healing of the Gospel through the avenue of biblical counseling.
